Ideas for a good comedy/horror story?

I was watching the 'Evil Dead' movies and got really inspired to write a story that is scary yet funny at the same time; so far I have an idea of a group of kids getting trapped at this creepy, bizarre carnival over night where all the workers, clowns, acts, etc. are like mass murderes or something... any other ideas?
