How should I go about making a cloth macbook cover?

I have a t-shirt that is perfect to be made into a cover for my macbook, and I'm trying to figure out how to make it work. I want it to go around my macbook, and can open and close with the macbook. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to make it cling on to the sides? And whether they've tried making one?
