Why do people tend to see homosexual people as abnormal people?

Don't you feel that it is very unfair that homosexual people are always despised people, played the fool by people...People tend to see them as very abnormal guys..I have a friend who admitted that he is homosexual..I actually pity them, they seem like unaccepted by the public....They also want to choose the people whom they love, right??? Don't you feel that humans beings are like evils.?? I personally don't discriminate them, I think they should choose the people whom they love, it should be alright as long as they don't hurt anyone...
